Ed Sullivan

Camp El-O-Win says goodbye to a dear friend.

Edwin F. Sullivan, known as "Ed", died on April 11, 2011 at the age of 93. Ed grew up thru the depression but consistently excelled in life. He graduated from Cal Tech (1938) in engineering. He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation, operating dams and canals.

He was married for 65 years to Jo and they had four children.  Ed loved riding his bicycle, reading and traveling.  He worked tirelessly for his church and several non-profit organizations.   He is the 4th of a line of 7 Ed Sullivans, and his legacy continues through 3 grandkids and 10 great grandchildren.

When El-O-Win was being built, Ed was the Chairman of the Girl Scout Camp Committee and his wife Jo was Council President.  For more than 50 years, Ed and Jo supported and loved Camp El-O-Win.  Ed’s commitment to camp and children and the out of doors remains a cornerstone in the development of Camp El-O-Win.  His smile and dedication will be missed. His spirit will inspire us all for a lifetime.
